Douglas Things

OK it has been a while since I have blogged! It has been CRAZY!! Kids back in school, summer ending and all the good stuff. I have finally started to feel better again..YAY!! I was worried that I was going to go the whole 9 months and still be sick. I felt like the worst mom and wife ever. My kids have never watched so much T.V. in their life!! They watched so much that I'm happy to report that I got rid of it completely...well just the family room one. Not the huge one in my basement. I can report that they have gone 3 weeks without t.v. well the occasional movie when mom needs a nap. Oh...... OK back to happenings.....Benji the other day came running into in wanting water really really bad. SO I'm like oh my gosh what did you eat?? Well I never expected for him to tell me that he had swallowed a dime! No kidding he is 5 and he should known better right?? Well I freak out because I think of all the worst case scenarios that could go wrong..like is it stuck in his lungs, nickle poison, lead poison, mercury, someone that touched it in the world with swine flu,( oh no I can't get swine flu) you name it, I thought it. So we rushed him down to get an xray ( being married to a doctor comes in handy) and there it is all shiny and bright. Assured he will pass it in 2 days leaves me relieved. Well 2 days later and an xray later, still there all shiny in his bowel. 4 days later 3 xrays later still there. OK I'm getting worried now. But John says that it is moving in the right direction and it will eventually pass. OK 1 week today and still no dime!! Come on Benji show me the MONEY!!! LOL!!

Boy or Girl??

At first you moved,
only a little.
I could always find you,
right in the middle.

As time goes on,
you will really start to grow.
It won't be whole lot,
in fact, it will be rather slow.

Before I know it,
you will be all over the place.
It kind of will feel like,
you are running a race.

People would ask me,
if, you are a boy or a girl.
I sit and wonder,
if, you will have curls.

There are so many things,
I really want to know.
But, you are hidden inside,
so the answers don't show.

How much will you weigh?
How tall will you be?
What color is your hair?
Will you even like me?

Your Dad and I,
planned you from the start.
You, my dear child,
were made straight from our hearts.

In about a few months or so,
I'll meet you, for the first time.
For you are the product,
of your Dad's love and mine.

There will be no one like you,
not any place in the world.
It really doesn't matter,
if you are a boy or a girl.

We are both so happy,
that you even exist.
The gender doesn't matter.
you'll be hard to resist.

I hope I make you proud,
that I am your mother everyday.
Because, you have filled my dreams,
in more ways, than words can say.

It won't be long before,
I can look you in the eyes.
I can feel the excitement growing,
I know I'm going to cry.

Don't worry my angel,
those tears will be of joy.
It won't matter to me,
if you are a girl or a boy.

Family Bowling Night....It's what what we do!

Hawaii '09

Well this was, you could say, just another day in Paradise. We all had such a fantastic time! I mostly just lied around on the beach all day, only getting up when I needed to throw up..LOL! I'm sure everyone really cares about that!! It was just so nice being a family and being all together. Joseph went snorkeling with his dad and got to swim with the turtles. He loved it and is still talking about it. The twins just loved playing in the sand and making sand castles. They really loved burying their " Bevi" in the sand. Benji's favorite part was playing in the waves on the beach. We brought my mom and dad along with us. They were fun to be around and really enjoyed all of us spending time together. What happens in Hawaii stays with you forever!!!

Just for Fun!

OK so I saw this cool thing in one of my pregnancy magazines. You pee in a cup and if your pee stays the same it's a girl, and if it turns green you are having a boy. It is supposed to be over 95% accurate. So I just had to give it a try. The first time I took it I had a girl result. But I just had to do it again. It's kind of like a pregnancy test, I have to take like 20 of them to make sure that I'm reading the + sign correctly. SO Took it again and got a boy result!! I don't Care either way, it was just something fun to do with all the excitement of a new little one coming.

Yay! Our blog is back!

OK so I'm going against my husband and have started our blog again. I'm really excited about it! So much has happened in our family! One thing is the exciting news about the arrival of our new baby in Feb. We are all very excited and cannot wait to meet this new bundle of joy!
